Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

It's not you.. it's me

Please swear, blab or at least just leave a dot, I'm wondering how many of my watchers are still alive and somewhat kicking

So I've been hiding in the shadows of DA just over a year now. Logging in here and there but mostly too busy to be as active every day as I once was.. what can I say, I've fallen victim to the full-time slave machine that we all have to work for sooner or later.

Had over 9k of deviations built up.. took me weeks to go through everything but now it's all back to 0

I've realised that I'm simply not as happy when not designing creatively so I've adjusted my lifestyle a bit to dedicate a lot more time to do what I do best. I'm back!! Sadly though, I've noticed my account has sort of choked and died after such a long neglect.

Ah wells, time to get the ball rolling again. Got many things to come, more typography pieces, creepy illustrations, some photography..
